Public Scholarship

As part of my academic training, I place a lot of weight on promulgating and presenting on Egyptological topics to a wider general public audience. Much of what we do may seem very scholarly and overly academic, but it is my goal to make scholarly research and topics more accessible and engaging for the general public. Below, find a list of topics, on which I have given talks and should you be interested please get in touch with me. I would be happy to share my expertise and knowledge with your group.

My first recorded talk given in 2013 on a Saturday Forum of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British-Columbia

Nile Scribes: Your Portal to Ancient Egypt

In 2017, my colleague Taylor Bryanne Woodcock and I founded a new blog dedicated to all things Ancient Egypt: the Nile Scribes.

We wrote blogs about the latest discoveries and book publications, interviews with Egyptologists, reviewed films, games, and books, and much more. We also send out monthly newsletters that keep our readers abreast on the latest in Egyptology.
